These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BU Freedom Wall website (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

BU Freedom Wall is an independent, anonymous message board built for the Bicol University community. It provides a platform for users to post anonymous text-based confessions, academic questions, advice requests, lost & found notices, funny moments, and shoutouts. We are not officially affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Bicol University administration.

2. User Conduct and Responsibilities

By using this Service, you agree that you are solely responsible for the content you submit. You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Violate any local, national, or international law.
  • Submit content that is defamatory, harassing, abusive, highly graphic, or threatening.
  • Post the private, personal information (doxxing) of any individual.
  • Attempt to bypass security measures, scrape data, distribute malware, or circumvent the CAPTCHA and rate limits.

You must also adhere to our Community Guidelines, which are incorporated by reference into these Terms.

3. Content Ownership and Moderation

Because posts are submitted anonymously, you do not retain identifiable ownership rights to the content you submit. By posting on BU Freedom Wall, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to display, distribute, and reproduce your submitted content on the platform.

We do not pre-screen content, but we reserve the right (though not the obligation) to review, modify, or remove any content at our sole discretion, at any time, for any reason, without notice.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of the platform. The views and opinions expressed in the posts on this site are solely those of the anonymous authors and do not reflect the views of BU Freedom Wall or its creators.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BU Freedom Wall and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from your use of the Service or the content posted by other users.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
