BU FREEDOM WALL

Community Guidelines

Last Updated: July 14, 2026

Welcome to the BU Freedom Wall. This is a dedicated, anonymous space built exclusively for Bicol University students to share confessions, ideas, rants, and shoutouts. To ensure this platform remains safe, supportive, and engaging for everyone, we ask that all users adhere to the following community guidelines.

1. Respect Above All

While anonymity allows for radical honesty, it is not a shield for toxicity. Hate speech, bullying, targeted harassment, racism, sexism, and homophobia are strictly prohibited. We encourage healthy debate, but personal attacks on students, faculty, or staff will not be tolerated.

2. Keep It Anonymous, But Safe

Do not share personally identifiable information (PII) belonging to yourself or others. This includes full names, phone numbers, addresses, student ID numbers, or specific schedules. When giving a "Shoutout", use initials, course blocks, or general descriptions instead of full names.

3. No Spam or Solicitation

The Freedom Wall is for authentic community interaction. Do not use this platform to spam repetitive messages, sell products, promote personal businesses, or distribute unauthorized links. To enforce this, we have implemented a strict 30-second cooldown between posts and a one-time security CAPTCHA.

4. Content Restrictions

Do not post content that is illegal, sexually explicit, highly graphic, or promotes self-harm. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to the Bicol University Guidance and Counseling Services or local mental health hotlines.

5. Moderation and Enforcement

This platform is actively monitored. We reserve the right to remove any post or comment that violates these guidelines without prior notice. Repeated violations from the same network may result in a permanent ban from accessing the site.

Remember:The BU Freedom Wall is a reflection of our university culture. Let's keep it a space we can all be proud of. Be kind, be honest, and stay safe.
